Five women who rock out with their cock out! Got a problem with that? The Falsies put the art in artifice and the she in shenanigans. They keep the fist in pacifist and the abs in absurdist. Long ago they put both the roar and the shock in Rorschach (even if only phonetically). Today, they always put their ass into their sonic assault and the dope into your dopamine. Bottom line, the Falsies have your dose of Roxytocin (TM).
Just one year ago, The Falsies debuted their reincarnated “outrageous and insightful theatrical punk” (C-Ville Weekly) at a Live Arts Theater benefit. Immediately after, they were headlining their own packed shows at the Southern Cafe & Music Hall. Since then, the band has displayed its absurdist rock extravaganza at Lovefest at IX, two Skate Park Benefits (including headlining the City of Charlottesville’s first ever Skate Park Benefit), and, most recently, were booked for The Jefferson Theater’s New Year’s Eve show with No BS Brass Band. The Falsies’ songs have received airplay and multiple interviews all year on four local/regional radio stations. Online, The Falsies have experienced exponential growth in their fan base having gone from under 100 to 1000 Facebook fans in just 13 months.
